Well, she finally arrived! After 38 weeks of waiting she is here. We wrestled with several names … Palin McCain (just joking) … No Mas (which is Spanish for “No More”) … Kosi Revayah (which is Hebrew for “My cup runs over” from Psalm 23) … and Gloria LeeAnne (which means “Fields of Glory and Grace”).
We decided on Aravis Katriel, which means “warrior princess with God as my crown.” She was born this morning at 6:47am, weighed 7lbs 12oz, and was 19.75in long. She is doing wonderful and Crystal couldn’t be happier.
Aravis is a character from C.S. Lewis’ Horse and His Boy from the Chronicles of Narnia. She is one tough and sweet cookie. We were planning on naming her Gloria but the more we looked at her the less she looked like a Gloria. Go figure.
