Listen to this week’s sermon, What is Christianity?
This was John Wesley’s last sermon before the Oxford University community. His biting indictment of the community was not well received. His concern for scriptural Christianity, however, is as relevant today as it was in the 18th century. His final series of questions – Is there such a thing as a Christian nation? Is this a Christian city? Is this congregation a Christian congregation? Are there even any Christian individuals here? – stir up the same kind of response today they did nearly 300 years ago.
