Those who love God have one desire – to do God’s will. Unfortunately, we too often miss the clear teachings about God’s will when we don’t see the minute details. Regardless of what is going on in your life you can be sure that the following are God’s will for your life.
Dedicate (sanctify) your life to God. “God’s will is that your lives are dedicated to him (that you are sanctified).” (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
Rejoice, pray and give thanks. “Rejoice always; pray continually; give thanks in every situation, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Do all the good you can. “For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.” (1 Peter 2:15)
There you have it, five things you can begin doing and know for certain your are doing God’s will. As we do these things – the will of God – our minds are renewed and we are able to figure out more fully God’s will, his perfect and pleasing will for our lives (Romans 12:2). We know the will of God by doing the will of God.
